Last night was quite fun if I do say so myself. I arrived at Pillars first movie night of the summer at about 7pm. I volunteered to be Susan for the night which meant I had to dress up. I had a long sleeved velvet dress on and if I do say so myself, payed off in the end. At first I was a little hot, but as the night went on and it got chillier, I couldn't complain.
My job was to greet people and give them bibles along with Todd, Keilan, and another little girl who's name I forget. (sorry little girl, aka Lucy) I got to meet a lot of nice people, including some who might be a good addition to Pillar youth group.
The movie got started a little bit late because we were waiting for it to get dark. As the movie went on the less people there were, which makes sense being that almost every family had small children. I got to spend time with Ruthe which was fun. The part of the movie when the kids are being so called "hunted" by the wolves was quite memorable. Ruthe was so into the movie that she yelled, "RUN! RUN! RUN! Why aren't they running?!" in the middle of the scene. Later on she fell asleep on my lap and when the movie was over she woke right up and said, "Done already?" I then went and got out of my lovely dress and helped clean up. I could also feel the bumps on me from mosquitoes which was not a pretty sight. (eew) Phillip and I didn't get home until midnight either.
But in the end last night was pretty cool. I'm sad that I can't make the next one because I will be at youth camp. Oh well! If you made it all the way through this blog, I applaud your willingness to do so. Until next time!
